Bengaluru’s VEDIKA BHANSALI Claims GIRLS 9 Title at US Kids Golf World Championship

Pinehurst Village, North Carolina – Nine-year-old Vedika Bhansali from Bengaluru delivered a masterclass in consistency and composure to win the Girls 9 category at the US Kids Golf World Championship.
 

She carded rounds of 33-33-32, finishing at 10 under par, with only one bogey across all three rounds. Her final round of 4 under 32 was the lowest score of the week for her division.

Vedika finished one shot ahead of Japan’s Emi Minami and two shots clear of the USA’s Audrey Zhang.

A standout in her category last year, Vedika had placed fourth, making this win an emotional milestone.

 

Aida Thimmaiah Shines with 3rd Place in Girls 11

 

Also from Bengaluru, Aida Thimmaiah secured third place in the Girls 11 division.

She delivered a strong final round of 6 under 66, closing the tournament at 7 under total (75 68 66).

The event was dominated by American Bella Simoes, who finished at 21 under, with Ananya Venkataraghavan (now representing the USA) placing second at 10 under. 

 

Other Indian Juniors in Top Positions

  • Nihal Cheema (Chandigarh), competing in Boys 8, tied for fourth with rounds of 38-39-35.
  • Kabir Goyal (Noida) finished 8th in Boys 10 with scores of 72-70-68.
  • Ojaswini Saraswat (Mohali) placed tied 18th in Girls 12 with a three round total of 70-68-76.

Other Indian participants such as Pramati Veera (Girls 8) and Naaysha S Sinha (Girls 8), along with Sohraab Singh Talwar, Adit Veeramachaneni, Hridaan Saraogi, and Siddhant Sharma, also recorded respectable finishes across categories.
