With a EUR 300,000 prize fund (about INR 3 crore) and 54 holes of stroke play, the tournament blends prestige with opportunity. What’s stirring true excitement back home? A formidable contingent of seven Indian women – Pranavi Urs, Tvesa Malik, Avani Prashanth, Hitaashee Bakshi, Sneha Singh, Amandeep Drall, and Vani Kapoor is teeing up, ready to make headlines.

India’s Magnificent Seven (L-R): Tvesa, Vani, Hitaashee, Amandeep, Sneha, Pranavi, and Avani head to Sweden for the Hills Open 2025.

Indian Contenders – Form, Flair, and Firepower

Pranavi Urs (Pro since 2020)
A rising star, Pranavi has been turning heads with LET performances most notably her tied-third finish at the Open de Espana in 2024, equaling her best showing from the Helsingborg Open. Her poise at such a young age makes her one to watch. Fans remember her killer round back in 2022: “She added six-under (66) after a 5-under opening round” on the WPGT.

Tvesa Malik (Pro since 2017)
In a season of high drama and resurgence, Tvesa snagged her maiden international title at the SuperSport Ladies Challenge in South Africa in early 2024, only the third Indian woman to win there (joining Diksha Dagar and Aditi Ashok).

Tvesa Malik after her breakthrough win in South Africa — can she carry that momentum to Gothenburg?

She followed it with a runner-up finish at the Swiss Ladies Open, pushing her LET ranking to around 31st and securing her return to elite events like the Aramco Series. “I fought so well at the finish... the win is closer than ever,” Tvesa reflected.

Hitaashee Bakshi
A model of consistency, Hitaashee closed 2024 as the No.1 ranked player on the Women’s Pro Golf Tour (WPGT), buoyed by three wins and six runner-up finishes. She also turned heads when she matched the course record (8-under 64) at DLF’s Gary Player course earlier in the year. Come 2025, she was in strong contention at the Jabra Ladies Open, rising to T4 with a stunning 66 in round two alongside Avani, Tvesa, and Diksha, who all made the cut.

Avani Prashanth (Rookie)
The newest Indian face on the LET, Avani earned her card through Q-School and quickly made the scene, joining veterans like Diksha and Tvesa at the Lalla Meryem Cup early in 2025. Her breakthrough arrival adds fresh energy to India's roster.

Sneha Singh, Amandeep Drall, Vani Kapoor
On home turf, Sneha, Amandeep, and Vani have battled fiercely on the WPGT. Sneha and Amandeep recorded multiple wins and high finishes in 2024, while Vani also claimed a tour victory.

Global Stars to Watch at the Hills Open

While India’s contingent carries passion and promise, they and spectators will also be eyeing top-tier global names like Alice Hewson, the current Swiss Ladies Open champion, and other rising talents across LET’s 2025 calendar.

Imagine Indian rookies rubbing shoulders with such established pros—golden for networks, experience, and exposure.

What’s the Buzz?

This isn’t just another tour stop—it’s a stage where:

  • A young PRO like Pranavi can pull off a shock finish.

  • A resurgent Tvesa can turn angst into triumph.

  • Hitaashee’s consistency can set her up for international form.

  • Avani’s rookie year can shoot into the spotlight.

  • And seasoned pros like Sneha, Amandeep, and Vani can make noise in a top-tier LET event.

Together, they’re not just Indian athletes. They’re the storyline. And with EUR 300,000 and international acclaim on the line, can one of our seven lift the trophy? Or will we see multiple top-10s, streamers of buzz, and social media shine?

Let’s get loud, get social, and let the world know India’s women golfers are here to stay.

Your Take:
Who excites you the most heading into Gothenburg?
Can one of these women win it? Or maybe it’s a collective statement India makes.
Let the speculation and support begin!

We’ve started a buzzing debate on our forum — 7 Indians, INR 3 crore on the line, Gothenburg on the LET stage. Who’s your pick?
