Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri demonstrated his mastery on the golf course by securing an impressive second-place finish at the LIV Golf Bedminster event in New Jersey.

Despite missing in his second shot, Lahiri quickly rebounded, securing a birdie on the third hole. The inherent unpredictability of golf tripped him up at the sixth hole, yet he swiftly recovered with back-to-back birdies on the 15th and 16th holes.

Lahiri's strategic gameplay translated into scores of 70 and an outstanding 5-under par, establishing his position as a strong contender. However, his remarkable efforts left him trailing by seven strokes behind the event's victor, accomplished Australian golfer Cameron Smith, who achieved an exceptional 12-under par.

Of particular note, Lahiri's exceptional performance not only garnered admiration but also brought a substantial monetary reward. His second-place finish translated into a significant earnings of $2.25 million.

This substantial sum included an additional $375,000 as his portion of the prize money from the team event, underscoring his multifaceted accomplishments. Remarkably, this marked Lahiri's third runner-up finish on the LIV Golf Tour, showcasing his consistent excellence on the greens. Previous victories encompassed a second-place finish at the Boston Invitational in 2022 and a similar runner-up position in Adelaide.

Lahiri's unwavering determination and exceptional skills have propelled him to an enviable 15th position in the Player standings. With four top-20 finishes, coupled with his standout performance at the LIV Golf Bedminster event, Lahiri continues to make an indelible mark in the professional golf arena.

As a crucial member of Bryson DeChambeau's team, Lahiri played a pivotal role, contributing significantly to the Crushers' commendable second-place finish.
