Pranavi lies 11th as four Indians make 72-hole cut at Final Stage of Ladies European Tour

In the race for full cards on the Ladies European Tour for 2024, Pranavi Urs, positioned at tied 11th, emerged as the leading Indian after completing four rounds of the five-day Final Stage of the Qualifying School Golf Tournament on Wednesday.

 

Pranavi posted a score of 74, while Neha Tripathi secured the T-36th spot with a round of 73. Vani Kapoor, with a score of 76, was at T-46th, and Amandeep Drall, with a round of 75, held the T-56th position.

The cut-off for the fifth and final round was the top 65 players and ties, meaning the remaining eight Indian participants did not make the cut. Among them were Ridhima Dilawari (T-88 with scores of 74-72-72-77), Avani Prashanth and Tvesa Malik (both T-88 with scores of 76-71-72-77 and 74-70-77-75, respectively), Jasmine Shekar (T-112 with scores of 75-74-75-75), Sneha Singh (T-144 with scores of 83-72-76-76), Seher Atwal (146 with scores of 77-73-78-81), Ananya Datar (148 with scores of 80-79-76-79), and Durga Nittur (150 with scores of 80-81-76-83).

 

 

Despite a fourth-round stumble, Pranavi managed to hold on with a score of 74, featuring two double bogeys alongside five birdies, three bogeys, and two doubles in her round.

 

Neha Tripathi showcased a mixed performance, with two birdies in her initial four holes and two more in the last three. However, she also dropped four shots, finishing with an even par 73 at the Par-73 Al Maaden Golf Club.

 

The players within the Top-20 tied after the fifth round will secure a category card, offering them more opportunities to compete. Those ranked between 21st and 50th with ties will attain status in Category 16 with limited starts, while the third group, Category 19, will receive even fewer starts.
