On October 27, the PGA Tour banned two Korn Ferry Tour players, Vince India and Jake Staiano, for their involvement in betting on a PGA Tour-sanctioned event. Vince India received a six-month suspension lasting until March 17, 2024, under the PGA Tour's integrity program, while Jake Staiano was suspended for three months until December 10, 2023.

Crucially, the PGA Tour clarified that both players did not gamble on the event in which they were actively participating.

One significant concern is related to the implementation of the Tour's Integrity Program Manual, which explicitly prohibits any member, including caddies, family members, agents, and trainers, from wagering on professional events. Lynch pointed out that while the policy is clear on paper, enforcing it presents significant challenges. He compared the situation to DUI laws, noting that the presence of offenders who escape penalties doesn't inherently undermine the policy's legitimacy. What Lynch found questionable was the lack of context provided when announcing violations.

Korn Ferry Tour golfer Vince India has publicly apologized after receiving a six-month suspension from the PGA Tour for a gambling incident. The ban was imposed on October 27, and India started serving it on September 18. He expressed deep regret for his actions and violation of the PGA Tour's "Integrity Program." He also extended apologies to his family, friends, sponsors, and coaches and pledged to learn from his mistakes during the off-season to return as a better player in 2024.

Jake Staiano, also implicated in the gambling incident, received a three-month suspension starting on September 11 for his involvement in four bets on matches in which he didn't participate.
