The wait is over. Team USA’s Ryder Cup roster for 2025 is officially set. Captain Keegan Bradley, in his first year leading the Americans, announced his 12-man squad that will take on Team Europe from September 26 to 28 at the legendary Bethpage Black Course in New York.

USA RYDERCUP SQUAD 2025

Captain Keegan Bradley announces Team USA’s Ryder Cup 2025 roster at Bethpage Black.

The Ryder Cup, held every two years, pits the best golfers from the United States against Europe in one of the most prestigious and pressure-packed events in the sport. With the Americans looking to defend home soil, Bradley had some big calls to make. None was bigger than leaving himself out of the lineup, despite teasing the idea of becoming the first playing captain since Arnold Palmer in 1963.

Automatic Qualifiers

Six players punched their ticket through the Ryder Cup points list:

  • Scottie Scheffler

  • Xander Schauffele

  • JJ Spaun

  • Russell Henley

  • Harris English

  • Bryson DeChambeau

This core brings a mix of world-class consistency with Scheffler and Schauffele and power with DeChambeau, while Spaun, Henley, and English make well-deserved debuts as automatic selections.

Captain’s Picks

Bradley rounded out the team with six captain’s picks, blending Ryder Cup experience with fresh energy:

  • Justin Thomas – A proven performer with a 7-4-1 Ryder Cup record across three appearances, Thomas was a near-certainty despite finishing just outside automatic qualification.

  • Collin Morikawa – Despite a quiet season with only one top-ten finish since March, Morikawa’s stellar 2021 Ryder Cup showing (3-0-1) made him a trusted choice.

  • Ben Griffin – A breakout star and one of Team USA’s rookies, Griffin delivered two wins and ten top-tens this season to earn Bradley’s confidence.

  • Cameron Young – The local favorite from Westchester County, Young arrives with momentum after his first PGA Tour victory at the Wyndham Championship and a strong FedEx Cup playoff run.

  • Patrick Cantlay – Returning for his third Ryder Cup, Cantlay brings experience and chemistry with longtime partner Xander Schauffele.

  • Sam Burns – Making his second Ryder Cup appearance, Burns adds versatility and Presidents’ Cup success to the mix, though Bradley faces the tricky call of pairing him or Russell Henley with Scheffler.

BETHPAGE BLACK COURSE

The iconic Bethpage Black Course in New York will host the Ryder Cup 2025.

What Lies Ahead

The Americans will lean on the firepower of Scheffler, the leadership of veterans like Thomas and Cantlay, and the youthful spark of rookies Griffin and Young. With Bethpage Black’s rowdy New York crowd expected to create an electric atmosphere, Bradley’s challenge will be finding the right pairings to maximize chemistry and momentum.

Team Europe will not make things easy, but with this blend of seasoned stars and rising talent, Team USA looks ready to rise to the occasion. The countdown to one of golf’s greatest stages is officially on.
