Sharma, managing four birdies and four bogeys, faced a challenging stretch with three consecutive bogeys that impacted his overall score. With an even-par performance over three days, he found himself trailing behind home favorite Thriston Lawrence, who secured a three-shot lead.

Thriston Lawrence, the local star, carded a 67 to reach 15 under, leading the field ahead of fellow countryman Dean Burmester. Jacques Kruyswijk and Nikhil Rama stood at 11 under, holding a one-shot advantage over Zander Lombard, resulting in a South African dominance in the top six positions.

Having previously claimed victory in the DP World Tour era two years ago, Lawrence has since added three more titles to his name and earned the 2022 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award.
